Social Responsibility
The Social Balance Sheet
Together with its Annual Report, the Viasat Group draws up its Social Balance Sheet, considered the most suitable tool for covering issues raised by the public and the needs of information and transparency.
It represents the Group's certification of its ethical profile, the element that legitimizes the company's role not just in structural but also in moral terms in the eyes of the community. It provides an opportunity to strengthen its links with the surrounding area and a chance to affirm the concept of the enterprise as a "good citizen".

Environmental responsibility
The Viasat Group has opted to manage its activities in an "environmentally" responsible way with regard to all those affected.
Its commitment goes beyond just complying with the applicable regulations and, with a view to promoting continuous improvement in our performance, we decided to adopt an environmental management system.
The main goals strived for and attained in recent years with regard to the environment can be summed up as follows:
Energy - projects are under way to generate electricity using photovoltaic systems.
Emissions - attention is being paid to emissions, particularly with regard to industrial production processes. The emissions converge in a centralized system that removes the organic substances using filters, so only CO2 is released into the atmosphere.
Waste - In compliance with environmental policies, waste is managed in a controlled manner throughout the various production, transportation and disposal phases.
The Viasat Group's logistics and production facilities operate in compliance with the SISTRI regulations, implementing a traceability policy for all waste produced. Both raw materials and the other materials required in order for the industrial processes to be carried out correctly all fall within this framework. The attention and sensitivity it displays to the area in which it is located means that the Group actively interacts with the public authorities, implementing environmental policy development programmes (separate waste collection, use of waste disposal consortia).
The Viasat Group is committed to providing correct, complete information on its performance and to ensuring the utmost transparency towards all potentially interested parties by continuing to promote regular, ongoing dialogue with the company.
